Mo News Live Event: Polling 101 | Tuesday 12pmET
How Do Polls Work and Which Ones Can You Trust?
Hey everyone--
A quick event announcement as we head into this week.
In the aftermath of recent elections, there are continued questions about the accuracy of polling and which ones to trust. And whenever I post a story about a poll, I get so many requests to do more on this topic.
So, this week we will dive into the challenges for pollsters and lessons learned as they work to get an accurate sense of American public opinion.
Join me for a live Zoom where you can get your questions answered this Tuesday, April 5 at 12pmET. This is an exclusive event for premium subscribers to the Mo News Newsletter.
I will be speaking with Anthony Salvanto, who oversees polling for CBS News, to break down the state of polling, which surveys we can rely on, how things have changed in the cellphone/internet era and how networks make their "calls" on election nights.
No worries in case you can't make it - the conversation will also be featured in this week's Mo News Wednesday newsletter.
Salvanto, Ph.D, oversees CBS network polling and the Decision Desk that estimates outcomes on election nights. He is the author of "Where Did You Get This Number: A Pollster's Guide to Making Sense of the World."
